  Geotechnical Orientation Programs

In a major development, the ISEG launched its training programmes in the form of the “Geotechnical Orientation Programme” at New Delhi during 28-30 October 2009. The Programme contents were custom designed for Professionals engaged in Engineering Geological and Geotechnical Engineering works related to field investigations, data processing and designs pertaining to river valley development, communication and other civil engineering projects. The focus was on major project components like river diversion/ storage structures, tunnels, underground chambers, slope cuts, etc. The Programme Core Group included Yogendra Deva (Ex-GSI), Secretary ISEG (Convenor), JK Yachu (NHPC Ltd.), Jt. Secretary ISEG (Coordination), Sharad Bhatnagar (NHPC Ltd.), Jt. Secretary ISEG (Co-ordination), Imran Sayeed (NHPC Ltd.), Council Member ISEG (Programme Liaisoning), Ashok Kumar (GSI), Council Member ISEG (Secretarial Support) and Akhouri Bishwapriya (GSI), Council Member ISEG (Secretarial Support).
